The CAST PROTECTOR is made in the USA. The outer shell is made of  3mm. neoprene with stretch nylon  fabric. The inner pad of the larger two sizes is  1/2 inch thick  foam. The shell is hand washable and can be air dried. The padding conforms to the National Federation of State High School Association’s football rule 1-5-3c, concerning “hard substances worn on the hand, wrist, forearm or elbow.”

 The pad can be removed from the shell for trimming, cleaning or replacement.

The smallest size the 9 inch model has 1/4 inch thick  foam and is intended for the smaller youth athletes.  It does not meet high school or college guidelines and is not intended for use at that level.
