THE CAST PROTECTOR was designed by an orthopedic surgeon with 30 years of experience in sports medicine working closely with certified athletic trainers. The idea came about after years of individually constructing pads for players with  short arm casts. It fills a need currently being met by “one off ” padding made from all types of materials of varying quality and thickness.

This is a new product to the market . It combines a proven cast pad  with a cover that makes putting it on and using it easy.  It can take a trainer or parent up to 30 minutes to create a pad, wasting time that could be better spent. Even NCAA players and trainers may find that the ease of application and the decreased cost in tape and time make THE CAST PROTECTOR helpful.

The outer shell is washable. The pad can be removed to trim for a better fit to wash it or to replace it.

Parents are often frustrated trying to put together a pad and then reapplying it each day for practice or a game. After all the work, the home made pad may be rejected by the referee.

THE CAST PROTECTOR can be applied by an assistant, another player or a parent, checked by the trainer, coach or referee and in minutes the player is out on the field with protective padding that is the same every day. It makes the decision to allow the individual to play easier for the referee. It looks professional,  and is nicely finished, and the foam is approved for high school  play. The pad thickness also meets NCAA requirements. Other lower levels may have different guides for participation, but the half inch cast padding should satisfy nearly every test of protection. So far referees all over the country have been approving it for play.(see the "reviews" page)

THE CAST PROTECTOR  is appropriate for any sport allowing play with an arm cast  and requiring a pad over the cast.

It fits both right and left arms.  It now comes in three sizes in attempt to fit all all players.  In each size the pad is removeable from the cover and can be cut to improve the fit if necessary.

Only the larger two sizes are intended for high school or college play.

 A THUMB PROTECTOR is also available for casts including the thumb. It is a separate device that  is applied with THE CAST PROTECTOR to cover the thumb.  It MUST be used with THE CAST PROTECTOR

We generally ship the same day if we get the order weekdays before noon Pacific time. The last pick up here by FedEx is 3:00 PM,  and Saturdays at 12 noon.

                                                                                               Sunday and holiday orders ship the next day.

                                            The shipping rate is set by the shipping company. We do not add an additional fee to pack or ship.

FEDEX EXPRESS SAVER -  gets it to you on the third business day. FEDEX does not count the day of shipping. Saturday delivery is not available.

FEDEX STANDARD OVERNIGHT-   gets it there the next business afternoon. Friday shipments are delivered on Monday.  Saturday delivery is not available.

FEDEX PRIORITY OVERNIGHT-   is next  business morning delivery. Friday shipments will be delivered on Monday . Saturday delivery is not available.

FEDEX 2Day- arrives second business afternoon. Thursday shipments delivered on Monday. Saturday delivery is not available.

The post office (USPS)  PRIORITY -   is  2-3 days ( not guaranteed).
